Gentle Breezes, This will likely be my last "send" for awhile, as I am going to be on vacation! I am looking for someone to assume the role of Web mistress for this list while I am gone. That basically means approving pending messages so that they will be sent to the list, and approving Subscription requests. Easy as pie! Recipe For Squirrel Stew

4 squirrels
1/4 cup chopped onion
1/2 cup diced celery (optional)
1/2 cup sliced carrots
3 tablespoons flour

Cut up squirrel meat into chunks, and brown in bottom of pan containing a few tablespoons of butter. Cover with approx. 3 cups of water. Simmer 1 hour. Add veggies and any spices and such you plan to add. Basically the same as you would in beef stew.

Mix flour into a smooth paste with 1/4 cup of water, then add to stew to thicken it.Cook this for about 15 minutes. Add dumplings if you like.
