Volume 1 Issue 5

Greetings from Amairgen's Faithweb. It has been another busy month for your webmistress, and lots of great changes have been happening. Yule is just around the corner and things are beginning to get hairy! The Faithweb News now has a sister publication, a strictly offline Zine called The Sacred Circle. The Circle is still in the creation phase, and will only be available in Canada, at least for the time being. Our Premier issue is coming soon. For more info contact us.

Amairgens Book Of Shadows has undergone some amazing changes. Due to an abundance of submissions and a severe lack of time, I have "hired on" a new webmonkey to take care of that branch of the site. We recently moved the Book Of Shadows to it's new home, gave it a new background and added tons of great stuff.. Http://bos.faithweb.com

NEWS!

Monkey See Monkey Do...

December 5th... A Day To Remember..

On Dec the 5th 1484 the Pope issued the Sumis Desiderantes, declaring witchcraft a sin and beginning the persecution that would eventually snowball into the burning times. In remembrance of those found innocent, our ancestors, some of us have decided to observe that day as a day of mourning.
My own group and I will be holding a ceremony of remembrance Sunday afternoon, and joining witches worldwide in wearing armbands. I have chosen a black armband with purple runes and symbols, and I head some others have chosen green bands with white symbols. No agreement has been made on the color scheme so I urge you to choose colors that will be meaningful to you.
Never again the burning times!!! I hope you will join me and your fellow pagans at the bonfires, and show your respect and remembrance.

The Magickal Month of Yule!

I want to wish all a Merry Yule time, and thank Lakyn for a beautiful Yule poem, to be published on the BoS poetry page shortly.
I am asking for any fun Yule crafts, recipes and traditions you are willing to share with me.. In particular the old classics like decorations for the tree and the recipe for those goodies you all have..
I will be taking a week off at Yule to be with my family and to polish my Yule Sabbat, which is still being put on the back burner at the moment I am afraid.

Web Site Reviews!!!

Pagan Paradise..

A little history, some military pagan handbook stuff, a message board and a book of shadows make this site one of the nicer online pagan stops. Recipes and circle info, deity page and some stuff for beginners fill the BoS.. a very well done page indeed. I was impressed by it on my first visit and have returned several time just to have a look around and see what they have to offer..

Welcome!

I found this page through a search engine, and in spite of the broken images they have a really great FAQ. The background music, tears in heaven sets a lovely mood. I strongly disagree with the authors views on drug use in the circle, though they are well stated and there is care taken to point out that the opinions expressed are not for everyone. This page has sparked a lot of comments from others I have asked to view it. The author of the site speaks with conviction and some of her views are controversial, none the less I believe this page deserves a read.

WyndeRiters Page of the Goddess

A beautifully designed page, and well maintained I was instantly pleased with it. The page covers such issues as bonding with the Goddess, Abuse, Maiden/Mother/Crone stages, forming your own Goddess group. While this page will not be of as much interest to male practitioners, I have gotten many positive remarks from both male and female friends who have visited.

Nameles...

This page contains (quote) "Extensive information & resources for womyn centered lesbian, Celtic, & goddess oriented witches & pagans." (unquote) I found the large collection of links and topics covered incredibly informative. I will be back to this page!

Kaizens Homepage

A plug for a very sweet pagan I met only a week or so ago, who gave me the address to his page. I liked it. The page has volumes of potential and lots of neat features already. The graphic on the main page is impressive and the overall look of the site is nice. Come see!
